This feature article deals with molecular‐beam epitaxy of (Bi,Sb)(Se,Te)‐based topological insulators (TIs) on Si substrates. Important aspects are covered, such as exploring the van der Waals growth mode, characterizing crystal defects, reducing the bulk carrier concentration, tuning the Fermi level to the Dirac point, and, finally, fabricating TI/superconductor devices fully in situ.
